I am passing this on (c/p) in casse it's true. I tries the https:// on the Roo and it never accepted my entry. But, better safe than sorry, right?

What is the difference between http and https ?

Don't know how many of you are aware of this difference, but it is worth sending to any that do not.....

**The main difference between http:// and https:// is It's all
about keeping you secure** HTTP stands for Hyper Text Transfer Protocol

The S (big surprise) stands for "Secure".. If you visit a
website or web page, and look at the address in the web browser, it will likely begin with the following: http:///.%C2%A0; ;
This means that the website is talking to your browser using
the regular 'unsecured' language. In other words, it is possible for someone to "eavesdrop" on your computer's conversation with the website. If you fill out a form on the website, someone might see the information you send to that site.

This is why you never ever enter your credit card number in an
http! website! But if the web address begins with https://, that
basically means your computer is talking to the website in a
secure code that no one can eavesdrop on.

You understand why this is so important, right?

If a website ever asks you to enter your credit card
information, you should automatically look to see if the web
address begins with https://.

If it doesn't, You should NEVER enter sensitive
information....such as a credit card number.

PASS IT ON (You may save someone a lot of grief).

Just back from a working vacation [sorry cannot give out that intell] stayed at the Ramadan at Jumeirah Emirates Towers in Dubai. Some of you might of seen it already is the tallest building in the world now.

The Dubai Wild Wado Waterpark was the bomb with over 30 rides that most most of them I could get onto. What a blast all of the peoples there were extremely polite and spook very good English. We had no problem and the food was fantastic, with a never closing buffet restaurant well just the hotel itself there are like20 of them the indoor and huge penthouse swimming pools are awesome, although they wouldn't let me out onto the helicopter pad on the very top of the hotel, because it was to windy and for inc. reasons.
Even the city of Dubai, United Arab Emirates was fantastic with very colorful people all around the place.

Of course Arabic was spoken most of the time but when speaking with us they always used English I would say that no less then 80.7% of the peoples there did speak English.

The swimming was excellent with crystal clear waters where you could even see the fishies swimming about.

The rooms where out of this world with huge king and queen size beds in each of the four bedroom suit we had. And service was 110% fantastic. Was told that all rooms had Microsoft's Internet Access but never used it cause having way to much fun on the beaches and clubbing with the night life. Was mostly western music although some of the places we went to had regular Arbic dancing and music.

On a personal note the all the girls there were 100% beautiful, and that is all I am saying on that account. You know public relations and my job with the OSC and M-5. Need to know intell.

12 Nominees.....

STATESVILLE, N.C. — Authorities say a man who was waiting with several friends for a "ghost train" from a North Carolina legend was killed when a real train came down the tracks.

Iredell County Sheriff Phil Redmond says 29-year-old Christopher Kaiser of Charlotte was killed about 2:45 a.m. Friday as he waited with friends at a railroad trestle. Redmond says witnesses said about 12 people were on the trestle hoping to see a ghost train when the real train rounded a bend.

Everyone but Kaiser was able to clear the tracks at the end of the trestle. The train struck Kaiser, who was thrown into a ravine.

The legend developed from a train wreck on Aug. 27, 1891, that killed about two dozen people and injured many others. Folklore Web sites claim the accident can be heard on each anniversary.

And one winner.... 8|

We are reminded not to be upset if we stick our foot in mud every now
and then. You do it. I do it. Everybody does.
The good news is that the next step places our feet back firmly on dry ground.
The path of life goes on. So if you step in a puddle today, go ahead and make a splash. Then walk up onto dry ground in confidence.

Title: RATS!!!

I saw an interesting question --- with a much more intriguing answer:

What has the province of Alberta, Canada been free of since 1905?

The answer was (and still is) shocking!!! Before you continue; look at this map closely. Does anything about any of the gray areas seem odd and out of place?

Alberta, Canada is the large, sort of rectangular looking gray area above the United States.

Ready for the answer?

It's rats! The map above represents the global distribution (red areas) of the common Brown Rat.

The following two excerpts were extracted from Wikipedia.org:

"The brown rat, common rat, sewer rat, Hanover rat, Norway rat, Brown Norway rat, Norwegian rat, or wharf rat (Rattus norvegicus) is one of the best known and most common rats."

=================

I still hadn't noticed any reason for Alberta being "rat free" since 1905.

"Alberta, Canada, is unusual in that rat infestation was eliminated by aggressive government action. Although it is a major agricultural area and has a fairly high human population density, it is far from any seaport and only a portion of its eastern boundary with Saskatchewan provides a favorable entry route for rats. They cannot survive in the boreal forest to the north, the Rocky Mountains to the west, nor the semi-arid High Plains of Montana to the south. The first brown rat did not reach Alberta until 1950, and in 1951 the province launched a rat-control program that included shooting and poisoning rats, and bulldozing, burning down, and blowing up rat-infested buildings. The effort was backed by legislation that required every person and every municipality to destroy and prevent the establishment of designated pests. If they failed, the provincial government could carry out the necessary measures and charge the costs to the landowner or municipality.

"In the first year of the program, 64 tonnes (71 short tons) of arsenic trioxide were spread throughout 8,000 buildings on farms along the Saskatchewan border. In 1953 the much less toxic and more effective poison, Warfarin, was introduced. By 1960 the number of rat infestations in Alberta dropped to below 200 per year.

"Currently, only zoos, universities, and research institutes are allowed to own caged rats in Alberta, and possession of an unlicensed rat (including pet rats) is punishable by a $5,000 fine or 60 days in jail. The adjacent and similarly landlocked province of Saskatchewan initiated a rat control program in 1972, and has managed to reduce the number of rats in the province substantially, although they have not been eliminated."

Honestly, I just can't wrap my brain around the idea of completely eliminating the ubiquitous common Brown Rat. Look at the map again! Look!! Look!!! Is there ANYTHING as universal as the common Brown Rat?! They're hardy, resilient, and they breed like...

On Internet Yahoo News, a man who lives in the UK was
checking his private security camera and caught his cat
Lola outside on the cement wall aside a green carbage container
being petted by female stranger, a women in her forties.

The next thing he saw was her take Lola by the neck and place her
in the trash container and close the lid! She had been in there 17 hrs.

Lola's owner reported the incident along with the video in hopes to
find the women. It made front page and spread like wildfire on Facebook
and the internet!!

Need less to say the authorities found the women who said,"I love cats, I
thought it would be funny!" Are now standing guard around her home for
fear that the numerous threats of placing her into a garbage container will not follow through!!

Lola's owner will not be pursuing criminal charges.

OMGA oh my gracious alive!! I have been weeping and praying extra for a few days now! So many things have been going on lately on top of da "norm" of work and all da keikis, etc., but one topic in particular has been laying on my heart with such harshness!! Please will you pray for my eldest of da keikis at home (Dorothy Jade is 13 years old) as she announced to me dat she is now an Atheist! ;~{ Straight and serious faced. The conversation started cuz I had gotten her a new Bible which she had been bugging me for awhile now as her twin braddahs tore up her other one. So, excited to finally being able to get one for her, I handed it to her and she states dat she didn't want it. When I asked her why, she then stated da KILLER statement!! I first asked if dis wuz a joke with a "No." response. I then asked her if she knew what an Atheist wuz which she did. Then I asked her if she wuz "following" some friend(s) and choosing to be da same. Her response wuz dat it wuz her decision and afta I had asked her why she didn't believe in God and/or Jesus Christ, I couldn't do anything but just leave da conversation with a befuddled look and deeply crushed spirit. I have asked my Pastor and his wife to pray for her, which of course they are as well as others dat know her. I HAVE FAILED and am so disheartened and totally sick to my stomach amoungst my other ailments I suffer!! I think I am gonna have a MAJOR BREAKDOWN!! Please I ask you to pray for Dorothy Jade Cash and know just as I do, dat ONLY HE can change her....I cannot help it but I still nevatheless, am struggling with it so terribly!! Hope you folks have a bettah day!! Love, Kimi ;~}
