Well this might get removed, animal cruelty and all, but it ain't kinky I promise.
I thought Simple and Solomen or maybe Midas might get a kick out of it.
If you're sensitive about hunting please just skip me.
I'll post a link to a local pub called Booner's (after Boone and Crockett).
Check out the pretty girl in the red shirt that bagged the heaviest buck in the county last year! (2008 ) How about that smile?
There's a few decent deer under the "2009 buck pole" tab too but not nearly as big as hers and she rubs it in every chance she gets :D

Very cool...she looks so proud! ^_^ I showed Hubby and Donna and they both thought it was cool too...commented on how big he was. I guess that there are times that size truly Does matter! ;)

How'd it go this year? I recall you saying you were heading out hunting the other day?

Okay, heading out the door. I passed on your well wishes to Hubby (I keep almost writing his name, lol) and he very much appreciated it. ^_^

Love you, my friend!

Snicker, Snicker, Snicker..... I just can't hold a straight face!
I'm talking about HH's comment, "I guess that there are times that size truly Does (Does?) matter!" I caught that HH.
Nice pictures Hd although I am not a hunter. And to think of the country I live in might cause one to wonder why. This place is full of wild game and you don't have to hide behind a tree 'cause ther aren't many to hide behind. lol.
My preacher is quiet a hunter though. He never misses a chance and that's all we hear about when he returns. One day I pretended to be serious as I told him I believed God put the wildlife on earth for us to admire and enjoy their beauty, not hunt down and shoot. I added that I had no objections for someone to hunt and kill if they are hungry and need the food.
You know what he told me? "I'M HUNGRY!" Heehee, if you could just see him you'd doubt that. About 5'8" and maybe 250#. Of course that's his advantage. Other hunters may mistake him as a bear but never a deer. Please, don't let him read this. lol.

I did think the gal in the red was quite the looker!! Nice display. Reminds me of all the years growing up when I used to hunt with my dad & brother. Hey HD, I didn't realize how close you are to Oscoda and Tawas bay. I lived there for 1 1/2 years while in the AF. I bet the leaves are really getting colorful about now. :D

The base is all closed down now Midas, a real ghost town. I used to fish for salmon across the street in the AuSable every year back then and I still get out on the ice in the Bay when the walleyes move in close to shore. You're a little late on the color though, there isn't a leaf on a tree right now :D

Hey Helping hand, you didn't check out the "2009 buckpole" tab, did you? xP

I have fond memories of going out for the smelt run and we had a great canoe trip down the river. Have you ever been to the festival in Tawas bay? Ice demo derby, beer, food, and even watching the polar bear club do a shot and jump into the ice!Ahhhh to be young again! :D

I can't comment on the hunting. I have never ... but I will say, your wife is really a beauty! You must be very proud of Hippie Mama! You are a lucky man. Does someone else clean and cut, or do you do that yourself? I have never had that type of meat.

I would love the Salmon! I don't fish, except out of the refrigerator case at Costco! LOL! (I know -- California girl and all!)

Do you guys have snow yet? Or does it come soon? I haven't seen a snow fall in so many years. I could, if I went up to the mountains. Maybe something we will do this year, go to the Big Bear Lake (2 hours away). Have you heard of it or ever been there? Or maybe Lake Tahoe? That is about a 10 hour drive, but well worth it. I love the smell of fresh pine trees in the air, and the view of the gorgeous lake from the Lodge at the top of the ski run!

Thanks for sharing, guys! And hello to you, Midas, Jule and HH!!

I would advise all Deer to emigrate to the UK where hunting is banned.
