James had never been frightened of storms, but this one brought with it an uneasy feeling as the lightening tormented the sky, he found himself searching the terrain for a safe harbor until the worst had passed. He walked with a stead-fast, sure foot but held his head down to keep the rain from stinging his eyes. The wind was blowing so bad it made it hard to see; he took a quick glance up and around and in one small glimpse a violently flapping piece of tin brought his attention to the barn. Now with a direction to head himself, he took off in a dead run to seek shelter within its folds. He knew it wasn’t perfect but it would have to do, he was soaked to the bone and freezing. He slid through the doorway and that’s when he saw her, he stood frozen unable to move, the pounding in his chest was so loud he unconsciously raised his hand and placed it upon his chest hoping to dull the racing beat that pounded like a tribal drum. She stood but fifteen feet from his gaze and a part of him wanted to run back out. He felt a tinge of guilt as he soaked in the sight before his eyes, but his feet would not move he could not raise them. It was then he realized he hadn’t dared even to take a breath. Crossing her arms in front of her; he watched as she grabbed the tail of her shirt and slowly with a mild struggle she raised her arms up and over her head. Her hips swayed gently from side to side as the fabric clung to her rain soaked skin, the shirt now up an over her head she peeled the sleeves off her sinewy arms flinging it to the straw covered floor in front of her. Her hair was soaked and the water left trails of raindrops slithering down her back. He couldn’t help but notice the way they traced the curve of her back and landed just at the waistline of her denim jeans. She shuffled from one foot to the next attempting to kick off her now soaked and mud ridden shoes. He stared in disbelief and awe, one foot moving ever so quietly in front of the other. He wasn’t even aware of his approach all he could see was that before him was the woman he loved and her skin called to him. He tried to steady his breathing, to push away the lump in his throat, but no matter how hard he tried he just couldn’t. Her shoes now tossed to the side she reached for the button of her blue jeans and James reached out to touch her neck. Laura should have been startled, she should have been afraid, but she was neither. Instinctively she knew it was his touch, the same touch she’d imagined time and time again. She closed her eyes and waited. His fingertips trailed down her neck and across her shoulder and Laura found herself succumbing to her desires. She leaned slightly backward, pressing herself against the heat of his body, willing him not to stop. James lowered his head letting his lips trail where his fingers had just been. Taking in the sweet smell of her skin he gently turned her to face him. Laura looked up into his longing eyes and she knew there would be no turning back, she had waited far too long to hold him close, to know his touch, and now here she was alone with him. The outside world was lost to them; it had no existence in this moment. Her fingers meticulously went to work on the buttons of his shirt and soon it rested alongside hers on the straw floor. Her lips met his and he kissed her soft and gentle easing her body closer and closer to his own. He could feel her breast pressing against his chest and her lips pressed harder and deeper to his. His hands trailed down her sides and he flawlessly in one motion unzipped her jeans and began to slowly rock them back and forth down over her hips, kneeling down allowing her to steady herself against him he removed one foot and then the other. Standing before him he looked up taking in every inch of her. He kissed each knee tenderly as he caressed her thighs. Laura reached for his rain soaked hair, letting her fingertips slide down his neck pulling his face closer to her until his mouth rested upon her belly, one small gasp escaped her lips, her knees buckling beneath her and James gently guided her body softly to the straw laced floor…

I guess I'm with the girls this time MH. I'm giddy o.O :D You write very well but I couldn't help but notice you didn't say it was to be continued? I wouldn't repeat it, but they have a name for girls that quit right where you did :( :; :;
This kinda reminded me of a story Steve wrote here about his youth. There was no storm and his skin wasn't rain soaked but when he took his clothes off in the barn and closed his eyes he didn't have to wait much longer either xD

Hmmm....are both of these people dreaming, or something? Thought in the other one, the woman was asleep? Maybe I missed where she went outside? Oh, well....good writing, even if I don't like such long ones. Reminds me of a romance novel.

Good catch there Lindy because as best I can tell they met in a dream.

Stevent She did mention his "rain soaked bone " okay maybe not but I'm sure if you read as well as you write that's what you got out of it. :/

Thanks MH very good story and I love your writing.

I was curious who would catch on to the “dream factor”, nice job there BS and Lindy.^_^ I’m glad you all enjoyed it.

I never planned on writing more to the story. The whole idea was simply to see if I could provoke some thought for the potential readers and allow your imaginations to take the story where you wanted it to go. xP

Stevent, I don’t mean to disappoint you, but the part of the story you’re waiting for won’t be written by me...but you’re more than welcome to pick up where I left off… ;)

Thanks MH...... now i know your word is good with me. When you approached me after the whole ordeal in the barn you said you didn't expect a man to show up in the picture. You thought you'd just see the woman undress herself to dry off and wished it were you. Thanks for keepin our little secret! L.O.L.
