First of all, let me preface these ramblings by saying, I spent way too much time on youtube, lol.

Ive seen many concerts in my years. Ive seen many of the great artists, from B.B. King to The Eagles. From the great Johnny Winter to Etta James and Stevie Ray Vaughn. But in the fall of 1999, I packed a cooler full of beer and a little smoke and drove 300 miles to go see Carlos Santana.

Of course it was a sold out concert, SRO. It was his "Supernatural" tour and 'Smooth' was at the top of the charts. It was a great concert, He started out by playing every song on the Supernatural cd, and it all was so good. I kept hoping that Rob Thomas would walk out and sing with him, but that didnt happen. But that was ok, everything was perfect. The concert was amazing, the crowd was great, a totally perfect night. The crowd stood and roared at the end of every song. But one thing I will NEVER forget, was when he played the first 3 notes of "Black Magic Woman". It was like a friggin bomb went off inside there! It was just insane! He went on to play all of his classics the rest of the nite. It was an amazing nite, something I'll never ever forget.

One of the highlights was when he played "Blues For Salvador" (his son). You dont really associate Santana with the blues, but holy crap, he sure nailed this one...

the United States through Cap and Trade, people said it didn't matter.

When he finally completed his transformation of America into a Socialis
State, people finally woke up, but it was too late. Add these up one by one and you get a phenomenal score that points to the fact that Barrack Hussein Obama is determined to turn America into a Marxist-Socialist society.

All of the items in the preceding paragraphs have been put into place.
All can be documented very easily. Before you disavow this do an internet search. The last paragraph alone is not yet cast in stone. You and I will write that paragraph. Will it read as above or will it be a more happy ending for most of America?

If you are an Obama Supporter don't be angry with me because I think Barrack Hussein Obama is a socialist. Far too many facts support he is
indeed a Socialist. If you seek the truth you will be richer for it.
Don't just belittle the opposition. Search for the truth.

Democrats, Republicans, Independents, Constitutionalists, Libertarians all need to pull together or watch the demise of a free democratic
society.
Pray for Americans to seek the truth and take action for it will
keep us FREE. Our biggest enemy is not China, Russia, North Korea, nor
Iran.
Our biggest enemy is a contingent of politicians in Washington DC .
The government will not help, so we need to do it ourselves.

Question....will you delete this, or pass it on to others who don't know about O'bama"s actions and plans for the U S of A, so that they may know how to vote in November, and the ensuing years?
It's your decision.

Is Sex Addiction Real?

Not Yet, but Maybe Next Year
By: Michele R. Berman, MD | August 31, 2010

At the height of the Tiger Woods infidelity scandal in late 2009, ABC News published a story with the provocative headline: Tiger Woods a Sex Addict? Only If He’s Lucky.

The gist of the story is that if Mr. Woods were suffering from a bona fide psychological illness, the public might give him a “pass” and his treatment for and recovery from this condition could offer him a route to redemption with his family, fans and the companies that pay him handsomely for product endorsements. Precedents cited included actors Michael Douglas and David Duchovny, who had publicly described themselves as “sex addicts,” sought treatment, preserved their marriages and enjoyed continued career success.

Doctors and other mental health professionals around the world also began sounding off on the issue. PsychCentral blogger Dr. John Grohol wrote a long article on Why Tiger Cheats and Dr. Drew Pinsky, of the VH1 show Sex Rehab with Dr. Drew, also bent, if not broke the “Goldwater Rule” against commenting on the mental conditions about people they have not personally examined.

Professor Scott Lilienfeld of the Emory University Department of Clinical Psychology and co-author of the book 50 Great Myths of Popular Psychology said that “Sex addiction if one of those pop psychology diagnoses that has scant scientific support.”

In the fields of psychiatry and clinical psychology, diagnostic criteria for mental health conditions are codified in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (known as DSM) that is now in its fourth revised edition, DSM-IV-TR. First published in 1951 (DSM-I), this manual is updated about every 15 years by the American Psychiatric Association. The current edition, DSM-IV-TR, was published in 1994 and the fifth edition, DSM-5 is due for release in 2012.

[Outside of the U.S., medical and psychiatric diseases are described in the International Classification of Diseases (ICD) published by the World Health Organization (WHO). ICD-10 is the current version.]

Neither the DSM-IV-TR nor the ICD-10 contains a disease called “sex addiction,” although this diagnosis can be lumped under the existing categories “Sexual Disorders Not Otherwise Specified” (DSM-IV-TR) and “excessive sexual drive – (nymphomania for women) and satyriasis (for men)” (ICD-10).

In medical journals, the term “Don Juanism” is sometimes used instead of satyriasis.

In a recent article in the medical journal, Archives of Sexual Behavior published by the International Academy of Sex Research, Dr. Martin P. Kafka of McLean Hospital (affiliated with Harvard Medical School) has proposed that what is commonly known as “sex addiction” be included as an official diagnosis, Hypersexual Disorder, in DSM-5 in 2012.

Is there a blood test or some type of brain scan that can be used to diagnose Hypersexual Disorder?
No, and the answer is also negative for most psychological diseases. Most mental health conditions are diagnosed by experienced psychiatrists or psychologists using clinical criteria, a collection of signs and symptoms that are commonly found in patients suffering from the condition. Dr. Kafka’s proposed criteria for the diagnosis of Hypersexual Disorder are purposely very similar, in form and style, to many others in the DSM. These criteria are:

A. Over a period of at least 6 months, recurrent and intense sexual fantasies, sexual urges, or sexual behaviors in association with 3 or more of the following 5 criteria:

A1. Time consumed by sexual fantasies, urges or behaviors repetitively interferes with other important (non-sexual) goals, activities and obligations.

A2. Repetitively engaging in sexual fantasies, urges or behaviors in response to dysphoric mood states (e.g. anxiety, depressions, boredom, irritability).

A3. Repetitively engaging in sexual fantasies, urges or behaviors in response to stressful life events.

A4. Repetitive but unsuccessful efforts to control or significantly reduce these sexual fantasies, urges or behaviors.

A5. Repetitively engaging in sexual behaviors while disregarding the risk for physical or emotional harm to self or others.

B. There is clinically significant personal distress or impairment in social, occupational or other important areas of functioning
associated with the frequency and intensity of these sexual fantasies, urges or behaviors.

C. These sexual fantasies, urges or behaviors are not due to the direct physiological effect on an exogenous (e.g. a drug of abuse or a medication)

Specify if:

•Masturbation•
Pornography
•Sexual Behavior with Consenting Adults
•Cybersex
•Telephone Sex
•Strip Clubs
•Other
Dr. Kafka makes many other interesting points in his article (full citation here) such as the fact that “sex addiction” does not really fit the definition of “addiction,” as in substance abuse or substance dependence.

Also, even though there is a compulsive aspect to hypersexual disorder, it is not really similar to or associated with obsessive-compulsive disorder or OCD.
