First day of the first full week of summer vacation...and I'm alone in the house, lol! Eldest's Birthday was Friday (15! ), so we WooHoo'd it around here all weekend, then yesterday he went down to the South Bay (where we spent his first 12 years) for a few days...Youngest spend the night at a friends...and I just kissed Hubby as he headed off for work.

In a way this is nice. Life's been kinda crazy lately and it's nice to have some relaxing time where I can, for instance...come and say hi to my Roo friends!

Do you celebrate? I'd never heard of it until I moved to California, lol. I'm making chicken mole...yum!

Also, 6 years ago today we got our puppy, Jack. A little 8 week old bundle of love...then smaller than our cat, now 90 pounds, lol. I was collecting donations from local businesses for the school walk-a-thon and he'd climb on my shoulder and nuzzle in as I drove around. Now he sits in the passenger seat with his paw on the arm rest, like he's a person, lol.

I was talking to a friend the other day who said that he'd recently ended a relationship with his girlfriend of 3 1/2 years. When I asked him what ended it, he said it was sex. She didn't care about it...he did. They'd been struggling with it from the beginning and he'd finally had enough.

Hubby and I were talking about it later and I said that it was sad to see an otherwise very compatible relationship end due to sex. Of course, usually things are pretty Hot in the beginning and if they weren't even Then, I guess that's a big red flag. Hubby said that he's seeing it more and more at work...relationships falling apart due to differing sex drives.
